Surviving the Applewhite: Butterfly Project
*Science Standard: Students will describe the consequences of chqange in in one or more abiotic factors on a population within an ecosystesm.
*The number of organisms an ecosystem can support depends on the resources avaiable and abiotic factors.

Instructions:
1. Look up the question you had in your journal from last week about butteflies.
2. Look at this website on common butterflies of KY. Choose a butterfly to read about. http://www.uky.edu/Ag/Horticulture/butterflypages/commonbutterflies.htm. You may print this page out.
3. Choose on thing (abotic factor) the butterfly needs, then write a cause and effect relationship for what would happen if the buttefly did not have it. Write it on your print out.
4. If you have time, reserach another biome, and choose an animal that lives in the biome...what would happen without one abiotic factor, why?
